So I got this message from one of the ladies this week:
so that is giving the motivation to do more and it’s not been hard work really (I don’t say that during)
I’m rubbish at the progress reports but I am happy with how I feel and that is the goal”
Well done, Kim 👏👏
The reason I bring this up
Is because how you FEEL impacts what you DO and therefore the RESULTS you get.
How you feel can be based on your thoughts and beliefs.
Be it with what you believe or be “healthy”
How you respond to someone who pi$$es you off
how you talk to yourself after a bad day…
Anyway, Kim mentions that “it’s not been hard work really”
Unfortunately, most ladies come to me with the ‘experience’ of exercise is something that is boring, long,
Classes can be monotonous and you can easily get lost amongst a group where no one even knows your name and checks up on you if you don’t turn up or go through a hard time.
Diets can be super rigid with long lists of so-called ‘bad’ foods that you can’t eat.
Which – quite often – can simply make you want these foods even more
And contribute to poor relationships with food.
Sure, you could get quicker results by cutting out 1000s of foods and giving up wine for good (simply because less choice means you’ll probably eat less)
But you’ll probably be miserable
And I’m just not sure how long the results will last if you feel miserable.
I’m not saying it’s ‘easy’…
I’m just saying it doesn’t have to be hard.
To summarise then.
What I believe to be the key ingredients to success to any transformation:
✅ Commit 3 more exercise sessions per week (these can be as short as 5 minutes…1>0)
✅ Commit to making positive changes to nutrition without giving up the things you love.
✅ Do something that is FUN.
✅ Do something where you feel comfortable.
✅ ask questions and do something where you get support
✅ Set a goal but focus more on the daily habits that will help you achieve that goal (this is what we do with the areas of Food, Fitness and Focus)
You DO NOT have to be special.
There is nothing heroic about the above or the other ladies HERE
Anyone can do it – if they want to.
Kim definitely wanted to.
