We often do things we don’t want to do..
simply because of our beliefs
that have resulted in us creating habits which are so ingrained
We still do them.
Now, of course, the more you become aware of this?
The easier they are to challenge and change..
But for now?
I’m just going to give you 5 ways to trick yourself slim
Do the things you know you need to do without bundles of willpower (or even motivation).
Which are so simple…
They might pi55 you off…
So let’s get into them:
1) TASK: Eat 5 different vegetables a day ….
The HOW: have precut vegetables in the middle shelf of your fridge (you are 5 times more likely to pick at the 1st thing you see compared to the 3rd…
2) TASK: Drink 2l of water
The HOW: Set an alarm on your phone every 3 hours to drink a glass of water and always have a bottle of water within arms reach
3) TASK: Don’t sit for too long
The HOW: Walk n Talk: every time you are on the phone, go for a walk (or try do this 5 minute workout today)
4) TASK: Eat some protein with each meals
The HOW: Aim for at least a palm size at each meal..it’ll keep you more full up (and is important for your skin, hair, nails…I could go on)
5) GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION to eat the foods you love.
After all, what’s worse:
Restricting and banning foods (and probably craving them more)
CHOOSING to have one
Notice your reaction to these two scenarios.
When you CHOOSE to have one
I can guarantee you feel more in control
Than when you try so hard not to have them
That you almost feel out of control whilst you shove the chocolates and crisps in your mouth
Even when you’re not hungry..
My point here?
You know what to do
I get that.
In fact, here’s a quick video on everything you need to know about nutrition and fat loss..

But what I’m getting at here is the reasons why you don’t do the things you know you need to do…
Or at least do them for long enough…
Is it because you have this ‘ideal’ view of what you should be doing?
Like never eating cake or bread?
Is this realistic?
And would it even make you happy?
I mean, of course, some compromises have to be made.
But are you not sticking to something because you are trying to do something that doesnt fit with your lifestyle?
Just because you didn’t lose 2lbs in a week you think you failed?
Well, what if losing a 1lb a week meant you could include more of the food and vino you love?
Would that make you happier?
Would it be something that’s more sustainable?
So, the real secret?
Asking yourself what makes you happy and what you are willing to do to get to that given your lifestyle, work, family commitments etc…
