Willpower in the evenings

It’s Monday morning. So after a weekend of some meals out and FUN…
Some people will be stepping on the scales this morning…

INSTANTLY putting themselves in a bad mood…

Not knowing / perhaps never being told (until now)

That DAILY fluctuations of 2-4lbs are very normal, especially in women.

this could be due to the menopause, cycle, salt intake, water intake, fibre, an illness, medication, exercise (I could go on)

So imagine you catch yourself on a day where you have fluctuated 4lbs higher…

Your instant reaction?

$#*!

Fed up

Frustrated…

Which is all – of course – exhausting…emotionally…

Fuelling the F it mindset..

It goes a bit like this:

Bloated >> scales go up >> Feel $#*! >> beat yourself >> drain willpower >> emotional eat…

All of a sudden, you could be 6, 7lbs up…

REMEMBER…

It is JUST one number at one moment.

Fill up a bottle with a litre of water? and it’ll put on 2.2lbs..

Has the water gained fat?

Of course not..

So my advice?

remember WHY this is happening..

Focus on doing the things you know you need to do, CONSISTENTLY…

Which I get is HARD. I think about this a lot actually.

But the more I think about the times when I’ve actually DONE the things I know I needed to do…

The answer is staring me right in the face!

You see, I’m currently working with a mentor / coach…

They help me get out of my own way.

Overcome my gorilla brain making up stories about why I can’t do something…

Provide clarity so I know exactly what and when to do…

And most importantly?

Get me to do the things I know I need to do if I want to be the best version of me…

So, the real secret?

Accountability and support…

Someone chasing you (in the nicest possible way) and making sure you do what’s required to build the habits that you know will help you be the best version of you…

I guess it’s why just 20% of most diet books are even read in full…

and just 50% are actually opened….

We all know what to do.

But information does NOT equal transformation.

And the sooner you understand this?

The quicker you’ll get results.

Be it working on taking control of comfort eating, improving your sleep or transforming the way you REACT to stressful situations that happen on the daily.

That’s what myself and the ladies I work with have found anyway.
