So last week, I did the Man vs Coast – 25 miles from St. Michael’s Mount to Land’s End, Man Vs Coast challenge.
Beautiful views, amazing scenery…
But I’m not sure who had the harder day: me… or Mrs. Fruci who had all three kids for the day.
(I’ll let you decide)
I’d love to say it was all enjoyable –and the majority was, the views truly took my mind off of it (and the terrain as I couldn’t look up in case I tripped over) – but honestly? The last 5 miles or so were challenging.
Ankles. Knees. Sand. More hills. And when you’ve been soaking wet from being in the sea in the first minute, I had some chauffing issues too
It felt like those last three miles would never end.
But here’s the funny thing:
When people ask me how I found it?
I say: It was amazing. Great. So glad I did it.
I’ve pretty much forgotten that tough bit already.
(probably how we ended up with 3 kids I joke..)
I wanted to share with you today.
Because if you’re putting off your first session…
Your health…
If you’re worried about being too unfit… or nervous to start…
Just know this:
Those things you’re worrying about..
Those challenges…
You’ll likely forget it once you do it.
Matt
