“silly boy, Daddy”
^^The first thing my 4 year old daughter says to me on FaceTime last week
As I stand there
In front of the fridge (with the door wide open)
The dishwasher (with the door wide open)
The cupboard (with the door wide open)
“Why are all the cupboard doors open?”
I must admit…
I shut them straight away…
There’s something about accountability coming from a 4 year daughter that you just can’t top..
I mean, I get it from Mrs Fruci
I had it from my Dad for 18 years of my life..
But it never really worked until now..
Why?
Well, we all have a set of values
Which our behaviours align to .
And one of them must be
Being an example to my daughters…
And it must be higher than anything else..
Because if I am busy with work etc
And someone else asks me to close a cupboard door…
Well, you know
“I am busy with work so I can’t”
My 4 year daughter pointed it out…
And I do it haha
“Monkey say, monkey do”
As they say.
And it’s for the same reason why:
- I can’t expect my daughter to do anything I am not willing to do → eat vegetables, fruits, want to go out in the rain etc…
- We place so much emphasis on accountability in our Kickstart programme.
Because everyone knows what to do…
It is easy to jump on the next trendy diet or fitness workout…
But it rarely lasts..
Unless it the reason you are doing it
Aligns with your values
And the identity you are attached to…
Something we help you find in our Kickstart Programme..
