I subscribed to it…

 I subscribed to it…

“I’m not fit enough”

“I have no willpower”

“I’m not an exercise person”

^^^ ever said any of those before?

I get it…

I said the same things too when it came to public speaking

And even doing what I do today….

^^^ I really had to question whether I could do this after receiving many comments from people saying things like ‘what do you know, you’re just a kid” and even “Stop waving your arms around when you talk”

Thing is, I could have quite easily subscribed to the idea

That I didn’t know enough

The result?

I wouldn’t have worked with any of the amazing ladies who am grateful to for putting their trust in me and my team to help them, like these ladies here:  https://frucifit.com/who-else-wants-results-like-this/

So I do get it…

And as the saying goes:

“Whether you believe you can or whether you believe you can’t, you’re right”

You see, when we believe something, it is because we can see it.

So when you come up with a new goal…it’s no wonder we dealt ourselves..

You see, if you currently see yourself as ‘unfit’ and then get told to say “I am fit”..

Your brain will look for evidence of this.

And people will immediately say things like ‘ I used to be fitter”

“I am scared of starting because I am worried about how unfit I will be when I actually do it”…

So what we want you to do is to be curious about what you can achieve…

Because a lot of people have paid up to the subscriptions that they are not ‘fit enough’ or ‘too old’..

And it is now part of your identity…

And the brain can maybe even back that up too.

So what’s the action?

Well:

  1. I want you to talk about your current beliefs. Write them down and write down beliefs you would like to have
  2. I want you to be curious about these beliefs, knowing that “Whether you believe you can or whether you believe you can’t, you’re right”

Here’s an example..

Especially relevant given the Summer of sport…

Take Roger Bannister, who was the first person to break the 4 minute mile record in 1954…

No one could break it.

Since he did it?

Another 1400 athletes have done it.

And what’s even more interesting, is just one year later someone else broke it as well…even after all these years of no one thinking it was humanly possible…

But he broke it down to different smaller steps..

How fast he would need to run each part to do it.

He had faith in the PROCESS…

He FAITH in the outcome and how he would feel and the sense of achievement.

And the rest is history…

It’s a bit like,

We get a lot of people say they cannot start due to social events

Or because they enjoy these social events / foods so much they can’t do it..

Is this really true?

So, just be wary what you subscribe to with your thoughts
