Message from Julie (which motivated me)

So last week my 8 week old daughter was in hospital for a few days.

​​Breathing problems. Which – of course – is quite dangerous when it impacts feeding and hydration in a baby.

Anyway, I had just finished writing a blog about time and motivation.

​​And our lack of it at times when it comes to exercise, fitness, cooking healthy food, etc.

Funny thing was that I just posted to Facebook and Julie (one of the ladies on our Fit For Life Body Transformation Programme) made comment which motivated me to exercise, even for 5 minutes.

You see, whilst I could worry about our daughter in hospital. There was nothing else I could do. I’d been up there. And I was now at home looking after our nearly 2 year old. 

I didn’t feel in the mood for exercise, especially as Toddler teatime was looming.

Until I read Julie’s comments and it reminded me of what I say to some of the ladies on our Fit For Life Body Transformation Programme.

You see, I was stuck in this little ‘fantasy land’ in my head where I just wasn’t present or thinking clearly.

Anyway, here’s what Julie commented on my blog about lacking time and motivation:



And as I read that on Facebook I just thought to myself ‘I could have started my workout by now’…And you know the funny thing?

​​My daughter (and dog) love it. They get excited.

​​Gives them energy, too.

​​Not that either of them need any more energy but I certainly did given the situation with our daughter in hospital and it being easy to feel low…

Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you as – like I said – it inspired me and if it’s motivated you just do something today that you kind of know you should be doing by are avoiding or distracting yourself from thinking about it, let me know.
