I was huffing and puffing…

To put it simply.

Since doing my knee playing football in November, I’ve rightly focused much more on rebuilding strength and muscle.

Cardiovascular fitness?

Definitely slipped a bit.

How do I know?

Last week, during our Level 3 Personal Training Diploma course where we educate people to become Level 3 Personal Trainers, I acted as the client while one of the students practiced coaching a full session.

And wow..

I absolutely loved being told what to do.

Do this.

This many reps.

Rest.

Now do that.

No thinking.

No planning.

Just follow the coach.

^^ I can see why people like this personal training thing

But early in the session, we did some cardiovascular work.

And I felt really unfit.

Some simple stuff on the rowing machine..

If I’d been training on my own, I would have stopped.

“But I had someone coaching me.

Someone telling me what was next.

Someone expecting me to keep going.

And by halfway through, my body had started to adjust.

It was a good reminder that sometimes the hardest bit is simply getting through those first few uncomfortable minutes.

And it’s much easier when you don’t have to do it alone.

A plan.

A coach.

A bit of accountability.

That can make such a difference.

And if that’s what you need at the moment, we’ve got two ways to get started.

We will be opening up our Fruci Fit 7 Day Trial soon.

£10 for the week.

Try up to 3 sessions.

Strength, fitness, mobility, Pilates and more.

Everything can be adapted to your level.

You don’t need to arrive fit.

^^ That’s kind of the point.

We also have our new 6 week Pilates course starting Monday 22nd June in Lockeridge, Marlborough.

Monday 2:00pm to 2:45pm

Or Monday 6:45pm to 7:30pm

It’s suitable for mixed abilities and we can adapt the exercises for you.

The full 6 weeks is £81, or you can try a £15 drop-in session.

Whether you want to improve your fitness, strength, mobility, core control or just enjoy moving again…

Sometimes it helps to stop thinking about it and let someone else tell you what to do 30 minutes or so…

It definitely helped me the other day. .

For Pilates, message or comment “PILATES”.

PS. My cardiovascular fitness may need some work… but I’ve now been signed off by the surgeon post knee surgery so I’m happy with that!
