My daughter has officially started nursery 3 half days per week. I’m taking 2 full days off per week to look after her.
And as much as I love this opportunity to spend more time with my daughter, I know it’s going to be a struggle. Fitting in my work, workouts (especially with my kayak from Devizes to Westminster to train for) , social life…into what is now 2 days less per week.
So – of course – I’ve had the panic. Fear of failure. Can I do it? How will I have the time? Am I capable of doing this?
But it’s happened before. “I don’t have time to walk a dog” <<< Mrs Fruci then gets a dog…”it’s not the right time to have a baby” <<< Mrs Fruci then orders a baby.
And I’ll admit, I have days when I’m tired. Want a bit of “me” time…put off doing the things I know I need to do to help me better my health, family, ability to kayak from Devizes to Westminster.
Who do I then take it out on? My wife, dog, Traffic…even the weather < which you have zero control over by the way.
But here’s the thing…. this is normal. So I get it if you sometimes feel like this too.
The good news?
You learn to manage it. Because there are 2 main reasons why you do it.
1. You’re comparing yourself to others who appear to be dropping more weight than you and loving their life more than you on Facebook and Instagram <<< which – as you know – are actually showing the highlight reel of their lives…rather than the real talk and struggles!
Like the friend of a friend of a friend who loses 3lb on their first week at a weight loss club..only to never mention it again as it didn’t fit their lifestyle, address their emotional relationship with food, or show you how to lose FAT and tone up rather than just get obsessed with the scales.
2. Your goal is soooo huge, you get overwhelmed because you’re stuck looking at this “ideal” future and forgetting that your confidence comes from evidence of DOING. Which is why i show members on my Fat Loss Mastery Body Transformation Programme how to set manageable and measurable goals
Manageable like did you do your nutrition task? Did you do your workout? Did you do your mindset tasks? Basically, did you do what you said you would do?
The result?
A “score” that separates your emotion from the facts, so you know exactly where you need to focus and what you need to do!
And it just happens that with the support and accountability from like-minded ladies and a Registered Nutritionist (me), we can show you how to master both the above in my Fat Loss Mastery Body Transformation Programme.
Anyway, I’ve got some nutrition, mindset and workout videos to work for our new app for members and then I’m playing with the daughter…
