How to beat your cravings

I ALWAYS get a craving for this.  No matter what time of year it is. Christmas or not…

That is…

a craving for…


Here’s what I mean.

I want to be CERTAIN that something is going to work before I do it..

Which means I never really get started with it

Like when I first wanted to lecture at universities without feeling nervous…

Deliver talks for the NHS on Type 2 diabetes and diet….

Do what I do now and work in a profession which is ALL about communication and talking to people…​​

But you know the only way to find out if it will work and whether you can do it?

Is to go with it.

So how do you go with it?​​​​​​​

Well, I want to ask you this question:

If you want to change, you have to decide WHEN. So ask yourself when?

If not now, when will you do it?

Because if you don’t ever start…

You will 100% fail.​​ And you won’t get the certainty you want anyway.

Like me with my pubic speaking. I just had to go with it.

Face my fear of looking silly, looking bad, going red in the face etc…No matter how small…

But you know what?

It’s actually more comfortable to DO the thing that we’re worried about doing that AVOIDING that thing..

Because no matter how hard we try to ignore it. Pretend its not there…It blooming grows and grows.

​​Takes up so much mental space in your head…


​​So just do ONE thing today.
