Quick hack to find some motivation

So I got this message the other day from one of the ladies on our Fit For Life Body Transformation Programme:

“I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to get on with getting the food right but I can’t really describe how I feel. Even with everything going on at the moment, I’m not stressing like I would. I feel really good and fit again and have my energy back.”

But this hasn’t been an overnight success.

The secret?

Applying the ‘Win + 1’ mindset every week

​​(well most weeks. There have been some tough weeks where she’s tried to beat herself up but I just about managed to get her to find some good in it haha)​​

So what’s this ‘win+1’ mindset?

Pretty simple.

she wanted to lose 1/2 a stone in around 10 weeks, but most importantly feel fitter and just go about her life with more energy and feel healthier. 

So, we set a task each week.

This was the WIN (if she did it when we agreed)

THEN…

if she lost a 1lb or got a bit stronger / fitter in her exercise?

This was just a bonus…

Because she knew that doing the things that she already knew would probably get her the results that she wanted…

She just had to do it and trust the process…

I do get this.

I ​​used to look at my ‘personal development’ 
stuff and do everything to avoid it. 

But do you know what I discovered?

It takes as much energy to worry about something…

As it does to DO something about it…

And doing something about it gets you WAY better results…

And of course, it does help when you see results quickly, like one of the ladies mentioned last week after week 1:

​​​​​​”I’m learning new stuff and have already lost 2lbs this week. This is more challenging for me mentally and think the accountability it a good route for me for what I need”

​​But true transformation comes from making the things you probably already know a habit…
