Cinderella and eating ‘too much protein’

So me and my daughter were there singing along to 'the bare necessities' during bath time the other day....until

It skipped to: 'Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo'. And it got me thinking how Cinderella doesn't really make sense.

For one, if the glass shoe was such a good fit, then why would it fall off in the first place?

Not even my 1 year old could answer that (although she hasn't spoken to me her whole life...)

But it reminded me about the protein myth that we just 'accept' and never really question.

'Don't eat too much protein'

'Protein gives you [insert scary disease here]'

Normally, all courtesy of the Daily Mail.

^^ A newspaper clearly designed to make you think that things will either a) kill you or b) Make you live forever

So I just wanted to share with you a recent study they did in 50 year olds (with Type 2 diabetes)

Because they found that despite having the same number of calories per day...

Those who had highER protein in their diet lost nearly 10lbs more over 12 weeks.

And you know who lost the most amount of weight?

Those who used...whey protein!

Crazy, right?

And I guess what I'm saying is this:

Never just take someones word for it when it comes to losing fat, your health, and toning up.

Question everything and everyone.

Even me.

It's good to be skeptical. In fact, most of the ladies who come to me are skeptical.

Nearly as skeptical as I am about that 'perfectly fitting' Cinderella glass shoe that somehow stayed intact.
