‘Can I eat eggs every day?’ … ‘Am I allowed bacon?’…’Isn’t cheese bad for you?’
I’ve answered these in more details before, so today I’ll just sum it up and give you a super quick and simple recipe that combines 3 of your favourite friends that others call ‘naughty’…
Bacon / red meat: As part of balanced diet, there is limited to no evidence suggesting it is related to to cancers or health risks…
Eggs: Shown to actually improve your ratio of good to bad cholesterol and one of the highest quality forms of protein to keep you full 🙂
Cheese: recent research showed that Eating cheese was associated with – potentially – a reduced risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, it was NOT associated with higher levels of ‘bad’ cholesterol…even though they ate more fat in their diet :- )
^^ maybe I’m only saying this because I’ve got an addiction to cheddar cheese. It’s only mild though 😉
anyway, here’s my quick, simple, filling, and versatile Bacon and Salmon Cream Cheese Bites!
Ingredients (6 servings):
* 15g lean bacon
* 10g smoked salmon
* 2 eggs
* 15g Light cream cheese
* 20g cheese (half fat if you want to lower calories)
* Semi skimmed milk (60ml)
Nutriton per serving:
1. Mix the eggs, milk, salt, cheese, salmon and bacon in a mixing jug.
2. Pour into a muffin tin and cook at 180C for 20 mins. Leave to cool before getting out of the muffin tin 🙂
And if there the recipes goes wrong?
