If I ever needed a reminder of why we train, exercise, get stronger…
today is it.
Picture this:
Middle of the night…
Back from A&E…after doing my knee playing football..
Right knee looking like a deflated football — early days MCL/meniscus/ ACL/ LCL all tbc drama
And then reality hits.
We live in a townhouse.
Bedroom and bathroom = upstairs.
And there I am…
Crutches in hand…
Can’t put weight on my right leg…
So I’m bum-shuffling up the stairs like a toddler who’s had too much Sunny Delight….
Using one leg to push myself up every step.
Hip screaming.
Arms burning.
And THAT moment hit me:
“What would I do if I wasn’t strong enough to do this?”
If I couldn’t get on the floor…
If I couldn’t push myself up…
If I didn’t have the upper-body strength to get up a step…
If my legs weren’t strong enough to compensate…
I honestly don’t know what I would have done.
And it was the biggest reminder that your fitness is not just about losing weight or toning up.
It’s about real-life moments like this.
And even for me- this was painful and hard.
To the extent that I’ve had a bit of anxiety about facing the stairs every day , even the step to get into the bathroom…
It’s these moments I never planned for…
But you’re SO glad you built the strength for.
And now it’s rehab time for me — managing swelling, moving what I can, upper body work, and doing what’s possible until I’m back to full steam.
But here’s the important bit:
You never know when you’ll need your strength.
Which means the best time to build it is now.
And that’s why we do what we do at Fruci Fit.
In fact? So others have said similar when I shared my journey.

- Get stronger for everyday life
- Build confidence in how their body moves
- Improve fitness without feeling judged or overwhelmed
- Have a plan that works even when life is busy
- Start now — not wait for the “perfect time” like January when it’s darker and colder…
You don’t need to be super fit to start.
You don’t need long workouts.
You don’t need to “fix everything” before you join.
You just need to show up.
Because consistency adds up — and one day, it might just save you on the stairs at 2am
If you want the info, reply KICKSTART and I’ll send everything over.
