When you’re struggling for motivation just consider what that word means:
“Motive” <<<
What is your motive?
Why do you even want the motivation to do this?
This then being us on to 2 very important questions:
- What are the benefits of doing this today?
- What’s the cost if I don’t do it? Today? 3 months from now? 5 years from now?
Not many will reflect on this.
Because it’s hard.
I’ve been there.
Thinking I’ve got no time.
No time to plan. No time for me.
Truth is?
I end up more tired and running around like a headless chicken.
Only last week (after nearly a year of not doing it)
Did I get back to my own journaling.
Something I’ve done for years.
And I’ll leave you with this..
See motivation as a luxury.
If it’s there? Great, use it.
But it’ll only be there if you start. If you show up when you don’t feel like it.
As that’s actually the secret for getting motivation.
It doesn’t just show up.
So no matter how small today,
What one thing can you do
To take you closer to where and who you want to be?
