Should you eat at 6pm?

I had a question the other day from someone in our 28 Day Kickstart.

You’ve probably heard the idea of not eating after 6pm. Not because your body suddenly stops burning calories at night — it doesn’t.

You actually burn calories while you sleep.

The real reason it can help some people is much simpler.

After 6pm, decision-making gets harder.

You’re tired.

You’ve sat down.

Willpower is lower.

Stress from the day shows up.

And for most of us, those choices aren’t yoghurt and fruit in front of the TV.

They’re usually a drink, some nibbles, a bit of chocolate… or a bit of everything.

There’s nothing “wrong” with that.

It’s just human.

It’s your total intake over the day that counts.

Some people have no choice but to eat later.

That doesn’t really matter providing your total calories and intake are on point.

And this is something I see all the time with women who come to Fruci Fit.

Most already know what to do.

They know moving helps.

They know strength matters.

They know food choices play a role.

What’s harder is doing those things consistently when life gets busy or energy dips.

That’s why I don’t have a set opinion on “do or don’t eat after 6pm”

But rather it’s about what suits you.

For some, that rule alone can help someone lose weight.

For others, eating after 6pm suits them.

That’s really what the 28 Day Kickstart is about (message me with “kickstart” for more info)

Not perfection.

Just a bit of structure, a plan, and some accountability so you don’t have to rely on willpower alone.

We run it from our women only studios in Chippenham, Marlborough and Devizes, for women 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+ and beyond who just want to feel more in control again.
