I’ve been speaking about this a lot lately.
Comparison.
You know, we had 20 women from Fruci Fit out doing the Longevity Games — running further than they thought they could, ticking off distances they’d never done before, and feeling pretty proud of themselves.
Me?
I was six days post knee surgery at this point and I was excited just to bend my knee a little bit more.
And get in the shower (earlier than i thought actually)
And that’s exactly the reminder I wanted to share with you today.
Progress looks different for everyone.
For some, progress is:
– Running further than last time
– Completing an event they once said “I could never do that” about
For others (very much me right now), progress is:
– Getting a bit more movement back
– Doing some rehab
– Adding a bit of upper-body work just to keep conditioning and fitness up
Same word. Aka progress
Very different picture.
And that’s something we say a lot in the 28 Day Kickstart.
You don’t have to be where someone else is.
You just have to start where you are right now.
1% better every day.
Just start.
Not when life is quieter.
Not when motivation magically appears.
Not when you feel “ready”.
Just ask yourself:
> What does being 1% better today look like for me?
That might be:
– Turning up to a session you nearly cancelled
– Doing part of a workout instead of all of it
– Choosing one decent meal instead of giving up on the day
– Moving your body when your head is saying “no”
Those small, sometimes boring steps?
They’re the ones that actually change things.
That’s what we focus on in the 28 Day Kickstart.
We meet you where you’re at, support you there, and help you build momentum.
Your pace really is the right pace.
If you’re thinking about getting started and want something structured, supportive and realistic, just message me “Kickstart” and I’ll send you the details.
No pressure.
No perfect starting point required.
Matt
