It’s no secret that quick fix diets are everywhere. And to be honest, they all actually work in terms of helping you lose weight IF you can stick to them.
Juicing, living off skinny tea, meal replacements etc.
The thing that I don’t like about them is that they just give you ONE way of doing things. Leaving you almost attached to this ONE way.
Even though no matter when you eat, whether you eat high fat or high carb, skip breakfast, or eat after 6pm…
It’s pretty irrelevant for fat loss as long as you are in a calorie deficit.
That’s why I prefer to fit the diet to your lifestyle, rather than the other way around. Because once you know how many ‘tools’ you have to control your cravings, beat hunger, and get more energy, you can be a lot less obsessive / all or nothing about this getting into shape stuff.
And on the topic of quick fixes, Julie’s quick fix of using a safety pin to hold her trousers up didn’t seem to last long.
Here’s what Julie messaged me with last week:
“You know I don’t do photos but just had to take this and share.
Safety pin too risky and concerned I may lose my trousers 😱
Just bought new ones & 12 bags of sugar lighter and toned = SIZE 12.
Thanks. Although I cam on the programme to fit, this is a great bonus”
It really does make me so happy when people realise that getting into the best shape of their life, fitting into their favourite clothes and looking after their health does NOT have to be this all or nothing thing.
It gives you hope.
Realistic expectations
And some confidence from the FACT that even if you’re little bit better today than tomorrow?
You’re still better. And think where you’ll be in 12 weeks time?
And that’s exactly what Fit For Life Body Transformation member, Jackie, did.
thinking that she’d never wear a short dress again…
