It’s not about being perfect…

Ever told yourself…

“Well, I’ve already had one biscuit…

Might as well eat the rest of the pack now…”

Yep. That old “all or nothing” voice.

It tricks us into thinking that one off-plan choice means we’ve ruined everything.

So we throw the towel in.

Start again Monday (ok, maybe not Easter Monday).

Feel guilty all weekend.

But here’s what I want you to remember:

“You don’t need to be perfect.

You just need to keep going.”

One snack doesn’t undo all your progress.

One bad day doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

In fact, these are the exact moments we learn the most:

– What triggered the craving?

– How did I respond?

-What can I try next time?

The thing is, making progress isn’t about never slipping up.

It’s about learning how to RESPOND…

With less guilt, less emotion… and more curiosity.

So next time the “F it” voice creeps in?

Take a breath.

Remember your goals.

Remember why you are even bothering (there must be a reason or you wouldn’t be annoyed)

And choose progress—not perfection…

Take the person I spoke to the other week. Beating themselves up for having a Hot Cross Bun…

But this image sums it up .

Same calories, yet I bet so many people feel they are ‘on track’ if they have a cereal or cereal bar, but then “have failed’ if they have a hot cross bun…

The key part with this?

It is your response which is the issue..

Matt
