Is one session enough?

I spoke the other day about signing up for a few events to give me a polite kick up the bum with my motivation.

The thing is, I have just been plodding along. Nothing wrong with that though..

Which brings me to this question

Is one session enough per week to make the most of it?

This is something that comes up a lot. Maybe you are busy at the moment, have a lot on, you want to make the most of starting your health and fitness journey so maybe feel like it would be better to start it another time.

I get that, sometimes life is busier at certain times. With my youngest now over 1 years old, it’s safe to say it has been a busy year or so.

But keeping going with what I have done with my fitness has allowed me to step up my training. I’m not starting from scratch.

So when you think one session isn’t enough, just consider that if you were to clone yourself and one of you did 1 workout per week, like a strength session or resistance exercise, or some cardio

And the other person did zero sessions per week,

Who would get the better results over the year?

Would it be the person who’s done 52 sessions over the year or would it be the person who has done zero?

And a good reminder about how small habits add up

And research backs this up as well with just four minutes of exercise a day being beneficial to reduce the risk of conditions like cancer to improve metabolic health and risk of things like type 2 diabetes.

Don’t forget that getting started is one of the hardest part.

If you can do it when you’re busy, you are on to a winner 🙂

Why?

Because when /if life calms down

It’s a lot easier to go from one session a week to 2,3 or 4 a week than it is to go from 0 to 2, 3 or 4 a week.

So what could you commit to today? No matter how small? Even if you think it’s pointless? In fact, do it especially if you think it’s pointless.
