“I’m not getting any younger”

I was chatting to someone the other day at a kids party 

^^ my social life these days 😃😂 🤙🤙🤙 can’t beat a soft play, although don’t remember those slides being so fast 💨 

Someone I haven’t seen in a long time.

Turns out they had completely changed their career.

“I’m not getting any younger”, they said…

Didn’t want to just 

Plod along …

Stay the same…

They wanted something to change. 

And for something to change?

You have to change… 

And it got me thinking about a chat I had with one of the ladies who’s just started on the 28 Day Programme.

She mentioned in her one to one (where we put together your starting plan)

That she “just needs a routine”.

Thing is, she already has one. 

She just does it subconsciously…

Going to be late..

Hitting snooze

Getting up and checking your phone for 30 minutes 

Skipping breakfast and snacking 

Running out of time to sit down to eat 

Overeating at night ..

This is a routine. 

She just did it subconsciously…

And that’s the power of routine.

Once you start, you’ll start to do it subconsciously.

You might not even realise it…

You rely less on willpower 

You get used to it.

Just like she mentioned about not wanting to stay the same with her weight, fitness, and not feeling confident about the summer with walks and social events she wants to be ready for .

As the person at the kids party said:

“I’m not getting any younger”

And there are only so many tomorrows…

And yes, it seems scary. 

To take that first step.
