“I can’t do it”..
Frustration.
Comparison to what I used to do..
That was me the other day on a wobble board trying to work on my knee.
One leg… fine.
The other? All over the place..
“I used to be able to do this easily…”
“When will this get better?”
You know that voice.
Now a great social media video would show:
Struggling…
Struggling…
Then suddenly nailing it
But real life doesn’t work like that.
It’s messy.
It’s slow.
It doesn’t always go how you expect.
But here’s what I reminded myself:
I’m doing it
I’m trying
I’m on the journey
That is progress.
And actually… when I do get there, it’ll mean more.
Because it’s taken time.
Consistency.
A bit of persistence.
I keep coming back to this question:
What’s the benefit of doing it today?
What’s the cost of not doing it today?
Because skipping one day feels easy… but those days add up.
And as I always say..
The people who get results?
They keep showing up.
Even when it feels a bit awkward.
Even when it’s frustrating.
Even when it’s not perfect.
Even when you’re comparing yourself to others and feeling a bit rubbish about it..
That’s where confidence comes from.
That’s where results come from.
And if you’re struggling to do the things you probably know you need to do..
Or want to give it a go?
