Cupcake🧁 in the bath ?
“Can I have the cupcake in the bath?”😮
My daughter asks me..As I’m rushing them to get in the bath after swimming so they can be ready for bed as I’m then off out.
To which I had to pause and consider:
“What’s the right answer to this?”
If they asked for a carrot in the bath, what would I say?
If they asked for an apple in the bath, what would I say?
Interesting part?
I’d want to encourage them to eat fruit and veg.
Encourage them that they can eat when they’re hungry.
That no foods are off limits.
And I know that if I say “no” to the cupcake, I’m going to have a challenge on my hands with two toddlers 😭😤
But then I ask “so am I going to say yes just to avoid the drama?”
So what did I do?
I said “yes” you can have the cupcake in the bath.
Funny part?
She nibbled the top and just left it…
^^ yes I had to then resist eating it myself haha luckily, it has gluten in so I can’t eat unless I want to be sat on the loo 💩
Takehome from this ?
Does the “good” cause the “bad”?
Does the “restriction” cause the “binge”?
And it comes back to:
Giving yourself permission to eat anything (just not everything) 😃
