So everyone is asking me and Mrs Fruci if we’ve thought about names for baby number 2 yet.
Now, we’ve got a few in mind. Joke. We know EXACTLY what we are going to call her.
Well, as long as it looks like a [insert name here].
And it got me thinking how ridiculous it is when we say “oh, they don’t look a [insert name here]”
I mean, what does a ‘John’ look like? What does a “Matt” look like?
It’s just based on perceptions of the past that you choose to believe? Like, maybe a ‘John’ should look like John from Costa 🙂
And it’s just the same with comfort eating. Hear me out. Because I get that it’s hard work fitting in work, looking after kids, hubby, sorting food for everyone else and that there never seems like much time (if any) for you.
All made worse when a someone at a slimming club tells you that you shouldn’t be eating that…like you didn’t know that, already? lol
So, here’s my advice. Try it if you like. Or feel free to ignore it.
1. Just notice how you feel when you find yourself going to ‘comfort’ eat?
^^^ If it happens so quickly that you can’t, look back at your day. Did you have tension? Where did you feel it? What happened? Was it a build? Something you are procrastinating on?
2. Notice if the ‘comfort’ eating eases the tension / urge you have, at least in the short term?
3. Does comfort eating provide you comfort or discomfort long term?
4. Ask yourself: What if that urge to eat to feel better WILL actually pass if you let it?
Not convinced?
Well, wouldn’t it be fun to find out?
5. Did you know that every behaviour you do reinforces signals in your brain to make you want to prefer to do that behaviour again and again?
So, by comfort eating, am I telling my brain to want to do this more? Making it easier to do it again and again?
Food for thought.
Anyway, I just thought I’d let you know that because out Fit For Life Body Transformation Programme is full up…
I’m launching a brand new 30-Day Online Fat Loss Coaching Group for ladies over 35 who:
✅ Are short on time so can’t make it to any of the sessions we have in Marlborough but still want that support, accountability and guidance to make sure it is done safely and effectively
✅ Have maybe lost weight before but struggled to know why they can’t keep it off and are bit bored of gyms and slimming clubs.
All the diet and fitness stuff is specifically tailored for women over 35, and will give you everything you need to know and DO to get results. That’s it. It is literally the last ‘diet’ you will ever need…
✅ Create meals plans and shopping lists at the click of a button (where no foods are off limits) and get the skills to be creating your own so you know what works for you (and not the the person telling you that it is all because of carbs)
✅ Access to over 1000 tasty (in my opinion) recipes with all the calories done for you so you don’t have to worry about what you can or can’t eat (or rely on boring, bland food to lose weight)
✅ 5 minute home workouts to improve your energy and fitness
✅ Weekly challenges to keep you accountable so you do what you said you would and finally get the results you want
Access to me with weekly live question and answer sessions so you get the support from a Registered Nutritionist, and – more importantly – like minded ladies.
If you want to learn more about this, just email me at matt@frucifit.com
This launches Monday 20th August, exclusively for women 35+
