Water.
Better food choices.
A walk.
A workout.
Maybe even five minutes to yourself before everyone else needs something.
Then the day takes over.
Work gets busy.
Someone needs something.
You’re running late.
And all of a sudden, those habits you planned start slipping away.
Then comes the dangerous thought:
“Well, I haven’t done it properly now… so I may as well start again tomorrow.”
Or Monday.
Or September
But this is where “all or something” can really help.
Not all or nothing.
All or something.
Because doing a little bit on the day you would normally do nothing still counts.
And it adds up.
It also makes it easier to do a bit more tomorrow when life might be a little calmer.
The key is having one small non-negotiable.
Not a perfect two-hour morning routine involving meditation, journalling, a sunrise walk, a green smoothie and whatever else…
Something simple.
A glass of water with your morning coffee.
A five-minute walk.
One better meal.
A few stretches while the kettle boils.
One exercise.
For me, sometimes it’s pull-ups.
I’ve got a pull-up bar at home near the loo.
So I do a few pull-ups on the way past.
And if I drink more water, I need the loo more…
Which means more pull-ups.
Water and pull-ups together.
It’s win-win
That doesn’t mean you need a pull-up bar next to your toilet, by the way.
The point is to make the habit so small and so easy to do that even on your busiest, most stressful day, you can still do something.
And something is always more than nothing.
What could your small non-negotiable be today?
If you want some help getting back into a routine, our next Fruci Fit 7 Day Trial starts Monday 10th August.
It’s £10 for the week and you can try up to 3 sessions in Marlborough, Chippenham, Devizes or From Home.
It’s for women 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+ and beyond who pretty much know what to do…
But need the plan, support and accountability to actually do it.
You don’t need to be fit first.
You don’t need to commit to doing everything.
And you don’t need a perfect week.
Your pace is the right pace. Focus on what you CAN do.
Start with something.
Message or comment “TRIAL” and I’ll send you the details.
Matt
