Keeping protein at every meal.
Less bloating and not feeling so full and uncomfortable.
Cardio improving.
Feeling noticeably less out of breath after the Travelator.

Getting to the studio when they really didn’t want to bother…
Then feeling so much better afterwards.
Booking a holiday and feeling more confident about being in a swimming costume.

Choosing a walk by the river and watching the sunset rather than sitting down straight after dinner.
Realising they hadn’t needed to use their inhaler for over a month.
Something they hadn’t really noticed until their mum mentioned it.
^^ keys, phone, inhaler had always been the normal checklist
And another found a red Barbour jacket they bought over 15 years ago.
It had been too tight, so they gave it to their mum.
They tried it on again this week…
And it fitted perfectly.
Amazing.

And I love these wins because they’re all different.
Food.
Fitness.
Confidence.
Clothes.
Breathing.
Getting the session done when you didn’t feel like it.
Even growing your first cucumbers of the year.
^^ that counts too
But a lot of these wins come back to one thing…
Showing up.
Not only when you feel motivated.
Not only when life is calm.
Not only when you feel completely ready.
But doing it when you don’t really feel like it.
Because sometimes…
Doing it is how you get ready.
That’s how you build confidence.
By doing the thing.
And I think this is where we can get stuck.
“I don’t have enough time.”
“I’m not sure now is the right time.”
“I need to be fitter first.”
“I need to lose some weight before I start.”
“I’ll wait until I feel more confident.”
But what does “ready” actually look like?
Sometimes we don’t define it.
We just create this unrealistic picture in our heads of where we need to be before we can begin.
More time.
More energy.
More confidence.
Fitter.
Stronger.
Everything organised.
But you don’t need to be at the finish line to start.
Your pace is the right pace.
That’s what it’s about.
Not changing everything overnight.
Not being perfect.
Just asking:
“What’s the next best choice I can make?”
Protein with your next meal.
Getting to the session even when you don’t feel like it.
Going for the walk.
Writing down your 3Fs.
One percent better.
One small decision.
And that’s enough to make progress.
That’s how these wins happen.
Not through one huge, drastic change.
But through lots of little decisions.
And if one choice doesn’t go your way?
Focus on the next one.
Like we do at Fruci Fit…
Matt
PS. You don’t have to feel ready before you begin.
That is kind of the point…
