“I can’t do low intensity exercise because it increases cortisol.”
“I can’t do high intensity exercise because it increases cortisol.”
This is the sort of thing someone sent me the other day.
And honestly…
No wonder everyone is confused.
Because I’m not seeing most of this stuff.
I’m not a woman.
I’m not being targeted with the same menopause, hormones, cortisol, “don’t do this after 40” content that a lot of our members are seeing online.
But when people send it to me, I can see why it makes them stop.
Because suddenly walking is wrong.
HIIT is wrong.
Strength training is wrong.
Doing too much is wrong.
Doing too little is wrong.
And then what happens?
You do nothing.
Because you’re scared of doing the “wrong” thing.
But the reality is much simpler.
Most people would benefit from some strength training.
Some cardiovascular work.
Some walking.
Some mobility.
Some yoga or Pilates..
And then you lean slightly more towards your goal.
Want to get stronger?
Do a bit more resistance training.
Want better fitness?
Do a bit more cardio.
Want better flexibility and control?
Do more mobility, stretching, yoga or Pilates.
They all have their place.
The best plan is the one that works for your body, your goals, your life and your week.
That’s why at Fruci Fit we offer variety.
Strength.
Fitness.
Pilates.
Yoga.
Boxing.
Stretch and mobility.
Adapter for you.
So you can build confidence and consistency.
Because the goal isn’t to find the one perfect exercise that fixes everything.
The goal is to start moving, get stronger, feel better, and learn what works for you.
Without the cortisol spike from the latest Instagram hormone panic post.
And for the record, exercise helps your body deal with cortisol. Unless you’re super duper stressed, not sleeping and exercising for hours everday…you have nothing to worry about.
