So last week we stayed in a hotel before heading to a funeral..
walking / hobbling on crutches around the hotel at breakfast, and just around the hotel, complete strangers would come up to me
No hello.
No small talk..
Rolling up their trousers to show me their knee scars.
“What graft you getting?”
“How many ops?”
“Meniscus and the ACL too? Same.”
“Football?”
“Yep.”
“Me too.”
It was like some underground ACL members-only club.
A little cult .
And interestingly…
It was quite nice. To speak to people who know what it’s like and here now they recovered. What they did and what they had done. The rehab and the prehab.
And that support actually reminded me of Fruci Fit.
Not the knee injuries (thankfully)… although I must say it’s amazing how when people have gone through things like knee and hip replacements, just how supportive everyone has been.
But what I’m talking about is actually the feeling of being around people who just get it.
People who:
Don’t love typical gyms
Don’t want to be one of 20 people in a class guessing what to do
Don’t want to feel judged
Do want proper coaching
Do want encouragement
Do want people around them who feel the same
That’s what the 28 Day January Kickstart is really about.
Yes — you’ll train.
Yes — you’ll improve your food.
Yes — you’ll get stronger.
But the real magic?
You become part of a group of people who are all starting from the same place, supporting each other, laughing at the same struggles, and celebrating those wins and for showing up (even when you didn’t want to go).
Maybe you’ve got a dodgy knee.
Maybe you’ve had injuries before.
Maybe you just want reassurance that you’re training safely, correctly, and at your pace — but still being pushed when it’s right.
That’s exactly what we do.
Smaller sessions.
Personal coaching.
And a food, fitness and focus plan. No mirrors. No intimidation. No pressure..
Message me with “January” and I’ll send over the details.
No cult initiation required.
