The other day someone said to me,
“I feel like I’m starting again from scratch for January.”
After signing up for our January 28 Day Kickstart after not doing anything for a while.
And I get that feeling more than most right now.
With my knee injury, two operations ahead, and a long recovery coming, I will lose muscle. I will feel weaker for a while. I will feel like I’m starting again.
But here’s the key thing —
I’m not truly starting from zero.
Because I’ve built it before. And that matters.
The muscle mind connection.
The knowledge and experience of what works and what doesn’t.
And the same applies to you.
Right now, you’re in one of two incredibly amazing positions in the grand scheme of things with over 8 billion people on the planet:
1) You’ve never done resistance training before
This is actually graet too.
Your body will be hyper-responsive. I always get weirdly excited when speaking to someone on the phone enquiring about Fruci Fit when they say they’ve not done much resistance exercise…
Strength increases quickly. Shape changes quickly. Confidence grows fast.
These are real “beginner gains” — and they’re incredibly motivating.
2) You’ve trained before, but it’s been a while
This is where muscle memory is your secret weapon.
Your body remembers.
You’ll regain strength, tone and fitness far faster than you expect.
Just like I will with my knee — it’s not starting from zero, it’s rebuilding from experience.
Either way…
You are not behind.
You are perfectly placed to make awesome progress in January.
That’s exactly why we run the 28 Day January Kickstart.
It’s designed for women 40+ 50+, 60+ 70+ and beyond who perhaps feel nervous, out of routine, or unsure where to start — with full coaching, support, and sessions built around your level so you can truly work at your pace..
If January feels better so you can get through these next few weeks and know you have a plan for January?
Message me or comment with “JANUARY” and I’ll send you the full details.
You’re not starting again.
You’re choosing to take action and progress — and that’s the key difference.
