I was chatting with someone on our 28 Day Kickstart this week, and she said her biggest challenge is evening comfort eating.
Sound familiar?
Here’s the thing: research shows that when you’re tired or stressed, your brain perceives foods like biscuits, crisps and cake as more rewarding than they actually are.
And that can make it feel like you’re fighting a losing battle.
But here’s what she found…
When she lets the urge pass, she wakes up the next day feeling:
- Less bloated
- More in control
- Proud and confident she can do it
- Better rested
We came up with a simple trick: each evening, she writes down how she feels if she gives in to comfort eating vs. how she feels when she doesn’t.
Because really… is it comfort eating? Or is it DIScomfort eating?
If you want support and accountability to help with things like this, our 28 Day Kickstart could be a great start.
We’ve got new groups starting soon in Marlborough, Chippenham and Devizes.
Just message with “kickstart” and I’ll send you the details
Specifically for women 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+ and beyond who pretty much know what to do but want the plan and accountability to do it
Matt
