WHAT’S INVOLVED
This fun Swiss Ball Pilates Workshop will not only increase balance & stability, but will also tone the whole body, while developing control and strength in the abdominal and back muscles. This session will work the entire body, but will have more of a direct focus on the core area.
A strong core is important as it helps to protect the back & gives stability within the body (including the spine, pelvis, hips and shoulders), as well as improving posture.
Using a Swiss ball makes exercises more dynamic and challenging as it requires balance, and therefore more muscles to engage in order to stabilise.
This session is a low impact yet challenging conditioning class, which will incorporate sequences of light cardio with slow controlled exercises, focusing on strength and stamina for a fun and dynamic complete body workout.
Suitable for those who have a base level of fitness/core strength & a good sense of body awareness. Previous Pilates experience is certainly beneficial but not compulsory, as modifications and adaptations will be offered.
*Not recommended for complete beginners to exercise/Pilates (our Intro to Pilates or Pilates For Beginners would suit better) or if pregnant*
