Struggle with discipline? Try this

I can’t tell you how many times

People come to me and say things like

“I have no motivation”

“I have no willpower”

“I have no discipline”

Sound familiar?

I get it.

I say that about myself too.

But here’s what I know.

When I say things like “I have no discipline”

It is usually because I don’t have a plan to be disciplined to…

^^ read that again

How can I expect to be disciplined if I don’t have a plan

^^ it is something my coach tells me all of the time and it hurts…as it puts the truth on my current situation

Because when I don’t have a plan…

I’ll say ‘yes’ to everything even when I know I shouldn’t …

I’m tired

And I beat myself up for not being ‘good enough’

Even though I don’t know what ‘good enough’ actually means.

But I get that this whole health and fitness stuff can seem overwhelming.

You know,

Where do you start?

Well, here:

1- What do you need to do ? << what are you stressing about doing? What is it that you feel you should do that you currently say you don’t have discipline to do?

2- Why do you need to do it?  << this is the winning question for me. What happens if you do it? What changes? How do you feel? Your confidence? Energy? Health? Clothes you wear?

3- When and what will you do? << e.g I will go for a walk at lunchtime every day. I will stop eating after 7pm and only have a hot chocolate if I want something << just examples.

I can’t say this will 100% work for you.

But what I can say?

 it 100% won’t work for you…

If you don’t do it.

And doing the things you know you need to do
