This put my toddler to sleep (it was that boring).

I was there walking backwards…

Pulling my toddler in a trailer…

It got the rehab done…

Entertained the toddler

And then put him to sleep

And if there’s one thing my knee rehab has taught me…

It’s this:

The boring, simple stuff works.

Not the “new” technique.  

Not the stuff that looks good on Instagram.

It usually comes from repeating the same simple things…

Over and over again.

In fitness that looks like:

Showing up to sessions  

Moving your body regularly  

Getting a bit stronger each week  

Eating mostly well  

Nothing groundbreaking.

But it works.

The problem is…

Most people don’t struggle with knowing what to do.

They struggle with actually doing it.

Consistently.

So what do we do?

We look for new, shiny things. 

I spoke about this the other day with glucose monitors…

So I wanted to share what I would suggest tracking instead / first before…

And that’s

  1. Your total calories 
  2. Protein intake 

Boring? 

Yes. 

More reliable and valid than tracking blood sugar levels for most people? Yes..

But most people won’t do this. And many people don’t actually need to do this. 

I would rather you didn’t track the above. 

But it depends on you, what you want to achieve and your lifestyle. 

And this is why we do what we do.

That’s why we created the 28 Day Kickstart.

Not to overwhelm you with loads of information…

But to help you actually DO the basics.

– Turn up  

– Follow a simple plan  

– Get support  

– Build momentum  

But it’s not perfect. And never will be.

I remember when I first ever opened this up. 

I thought I needed an online platform with lessons in nutrition etc

Turns out?

I was wrong.

People just need that personal touch. And that polite kick up the bum.

Not overnight.

But steadily.

A bit like my knee.

It’s not “fixed” yet.

But it’s better than it was.
