Amazing food. Amazing people. And what really surprised me…
The dishes were so simple that I’d genuinely cook them all at home.
But let’s talk about the real star of the night…
The cabbage.
I have never sat at a table before where grown adults are genuinely going,
“Wow… this cabbage is unbelievable.”
Yet there we were. Talking about cabbage like it was a new, fancy diet or fitness equipment…
Cabbage doesn’t usually get much love, does it?
Not sure why though. High in vitamin C, fibre and vitamin K. Rumour has it that Popeye was also adding cabbage to his spinach (cheaper too).
What really stood out was how in tune they are with:
• Fresh food
• Local ingredients
• Simple techniques
• Herbs and seasoning (to make food taste great without the grease)
One thing Peter said really stuck with me too…
A lot of people don’t feel “ready” for cooking.
They don’t feel ready for a cookery school.
But when they do it? They become ready.
And that’s the same with fitness too.
You never really feel “ready.”
You just start.
And that’s how you get better.
like I was as Head Chef (obviously), then realised…
“No one else is doing this cabbage — guess I’m in.”
Got stuck in. And actually… loved it.
And that’s kind of the whole point.
Whether it’s cooking…
Whether it’s training…
Whether it’s changing habits…
You don’t wait to feel ready. You move first. Confidence follows.
And if that’s where you’re at right now with food, fitness, or consistency… that’s exactly where the January 28 Day Kickstart comes in.
If you’d like the details, just message me with “kickstart” and I’ll send everything over.
Specifically for women 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+ and beyond who pretty much know what to do but want the plan and accountability to do it.
