“I’ve fallen into old habits. Snacking before dinner and I know I need to stop”
^^ question / statement from the other day
And this is very common.
For me included.
Here are two things to try:
- Have an apple on way home in the car (notice the difference in your hunger when you come in from work)
- Change your environment – quite often we finish work / come through the door, and head straight into the kitchen. Try going into a different room. Wind down with a 10 minute walk, walk around the block, or even watching something you like.
Sounds simple, right?
You probably think it won’t work.
And guess what?
It may not work all of the time
It may not work “perfectly”
But the goal?
Being a bit like in control and aware TODAY.
So you can make the choice that makes you happy
After all, when you’re in control?
You’ll probably have more energy
You’ll probably eat better
You’ll probably do more exercise
And you’ll probably get more of the benefits from this
From risk of disease reducing to quality of life improving and everyday tasks becoming easier
Sure it might not happen overnight.
But the best part?
Just do it today
As what you do today
Is easier to do tomorrow.
