What do mojitos by the pool and kale green goddesses have in common?

Sun…

Mojitos by the pool

Crashing waves

Fresh fish

Rain

Wind

And jumpers…

^^^ Yep, I’m off to sunny (windy, and rainy) Cornwall for a little holiday next week.

Not only do I love Cornwall (been going every year since I was 3…and I also met my wife there)

But I also love holidays.

The excitement (or stress for some) of packing

Waking up early

Shouting ‘are we there yet’

^^ Yep, I’m just a big kid.

Spending time with loved ones…

Trying new foods

And exploring different places.

The downside?

You arrive…

And before you know it

It’s time to come home.

And it’s a bit like those juicing detox diets.

We neck down our Kale Green Goddess Smoothie on Day one

We ‘feel amazing’

And can’t wait for our FunkiFruit Juice Fountain tomorrow.

But then…

It gets to the weekend.

We have a family event...

Kids parties...

Food taken out of your control...

And what do we do then?

Skip it? (AKA take the life out of living)

Binge?

Feel guilty?

And the worst thing...

All we're told is that Funki Fruit Juice Fountains and Kale Green Goddesses are good…

We don’t know why they MAY give us more energy...

And how they MAY help us lose weight, tone up, and fit into our favourite clothes…

There’s simply no education.

Which means you're DEPENDENT on them.

You're not in control

We end up developing a negative relationship with food.

And

Getting a bucket load of guilt when we have a ‘syn’ too many…

And what happens when ‘life’ gets in the way?

We stop.

We come home from our holiday…

And are back to reality.

Back to the old…

Restrict >>> lose weight >>> binge >>> feel guilty >>> gain weight >>> REPEAT

Yoyo dieting cycle…

And it’s why a bespoke nutrition and exercise programme built for you and your lifestyle that empowers you to be in control of your own nutrition and exercise long-term will get you leaner and more toned than any cookie-cutter diet plan…

Matt

PS. Nothing against Kale Green Goddess smoothies (I do drink smoothies from time to time and had one for breakfast as I’m off to Birmingham for a course and had to leave early)…

But if you’re relying on them to lose weight and feel more comfortable in your own skin…

The honeymoon period might be over quicker than England’s Euro 2016…
