If I’d known how hard it would be… I might never have started

Back in 2014, I started personal training.

At the time, I was mainly working with women in gyms — and I noticed:

There was a LOT of anxiety around it.

Not knowing what to do…

Not wanting to go in alone…

Feeling like they had no structure or plan when I wasn’t there

Or even, never felt like they pushed themselves the same when I wasn’t there..

Then…

Someone had a panic attack in a busy, nice, gym..

She asked if I could train her and a friend in her home. 

So I did. Then I started in a church hall. And things grew from there.

Since then?

It’s been a whirlwind of online workouts, lockdowns, moving venues, planning permission — you name it, I could go on…

And if you’d told me back then all the stuff I’d have to do, I might have said…NO..

“I don’t know enough. That’s too much. I can’t do that.”

But I got started…

“I’ll worry about that later’ mentality..

And every time an obstacle came up — sure, it was hard. And still is hard. But if you keep going, these obstacles are ON the way and teach you the most.

That’s how you grow. The challenges aren’t in the way — they’re on the way.
