I WALKED IN AND SAID “DON’T LAUGH AT ME”

I walked into the studio after finishing a one-to-one PT session.

Bindoo was doing the final few minutes of a yoga session.

Everyone was working on sitting their bum back towards their heels to stretch the front of the thighs and improve knee bend.

After injuring my knee playing football last year, it’s something I need to work on.

So I looked around and thought:

“There is absolutely no chance I’m getting that low.”

Then I said:

“Don’t laugh at me here…”

Everyone else looked much deeper into the movement.

But they had been practicing it for a lot longer.

I was the beginner in that moment.

And that was fine.

I worked at my pace.

I did what my knee could manage.

And even in those final five minutes, I improved and came away with something to practice.

This message from Jude sums it up brilliantly:

“The coaches will totally adapt every exercise to each person’s ability.”

We all have different strengths.

Different weaknesses.

Different injuries, aches and pains.

There will always be someone who can lift more, bend further or move faster.

But their pace doesn’t need to be your pace.

Your pace is the right pace.

The key is starting where you’re at and doing what you can that day.

That’s how you make progress.

Our next Fruci Fit 7 Day Trial starts TOMORROW Monday 10th August.

For women 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+ and 80+ who pretty much know what to do but need the plan and accountability to do it.

£10 for the week and try up to 3 sessions in Marlborough, Chippenham, Devizes or From Home.

Everything can be adapted around your starting point.

You don’t need to keep up with anyone else.

You just need to turn up and begin.

Comment “TRIAL” and I’ll send you the details.

Matt

PS. I’ll be practicing that knee bend again… and I won’t be waiting until everyone has gone. I’ll have to show my improvements
