“I know what I need to do…”
^^ Ever said that?
You start. You stop.
Start again…stop again…
“Today will be the day..I will start again”
Then you go back to your old ways
I could actually talk about this all day..
IT is what holds most back.
Thing is though:
IT IS EASIER TO DO OLD HABITS THAN NEW HABITS…
Your body already has a process in your brain to do it, there’s nothing new to process.
It is safe and comfortable. Your body rewards you for that.
At the start, creating a new habit is a bit like taking the A road in Wiltshire with lots of potholes over a clear highway…
Which would you go for?
The road which is clear, wide and light?
Or one which is dark, unknown, with potholes in?
Exactly..
BUT..
There comes a time where doing the things you keep doing..
Actually it gets HARDER..
Maybe even boring..
You need something different.
Because the pain of staying the same is now greater than the pain of change
^^^ read that again
So what’s the answer?
1- Write down why you even want to change these habits? What is the point?
2- What happens 5 years from now if you don’t make these changes?
3- Who suffers if you do not make these changes? Who benefits?
Making it about MORE than just YOU
And act based on how you want to feel rather than how you currently feel..
And who knows, you might just have the energy to do the things you want to do..
To be the person you want to be for YOU and someone else
