AM I TOO OLD TO GET STRONG AGAIN?

“I used to go to the gym three times a week.

Then I moved…

And I never picked it back up.”

This is what someone said to me on a recent call.

In her 60s, she used to lift weights and felt fit and strong.

That was about five years ago.

Now she can get down to the floor…

But getting back up again is another story.

Another woman, in her late 60s, told me she used to be “a gym person” when she was working.

Then menopause, health issues and life changed things.

She’s walking and doing yoga, her energy is coming back, but her muscles aren’t as strong as they used to be.

Different women.

Same question:

“Have I left it too late?”

The answer…

No.

You don’t have to get back to your old fitness before you start.

That’s what starting is for.

And you don’t have to keep up with the fittest person in the room.

Your pace is the right pace.

The goal isn’t to turn the clock back.

It’s to make the years ahead feel easier:

Get up from the floor with more confidence.

Carry the shopping without worrying about your back.

Keep up with the family on those walks.

Keep up with the kids and grandchildren without needing Monday to recover

The answer probably isn’t joining a gym and being left to figure it out yourself.

Or hiding at the back of a class where no one knows your name, worried you’re being a nuisance.

You shouldn’t have to “get fit first” before joining something designed to help you get fitter.

At Fruci Fit, we start with where you are now.

Everything can be adapted.

You can build up gradually.

And you’ll have a coach who knows your starting point and cares about your progress.
