After 17 years working in health and fitness — from the NHS and Public Health to Fruci Fit — I’ve noticed something funny…

We often forget the simple things that actually make the biggest difference.

Things that research has proven again and again…

Otherwise we’re just like the kids… opening the fridge every 2 minutes

It’s half term this week — which basically means every two minutes someone in my house is saying:

“Daddy, can I have a snack?”

Or, I hear footsteps into the kitchen and the fridge opening..

The sound of wrappers or ‘there’s no food” groans..

And if I’m honest… us adults aren’t much different sometimes

Because when we don’t plan our snacks — we end up doing exactly the same thing.

Opening the fridge every couple of minutes, hoping something new and exciting has magically appeared.

That’s why today, my snacks are already sorted.
– Greek yoghurt with berries
– Handful of nuts
– Maybe even a cheeky bit of dark chocolate later

Simple. Nothing fancy.
But it means I’m not relying on willpower when I’m tired, hungry, or surrounded by leftover Halloween sweets.

^^ Or eating the sweets you bought for halloween 😉 I see you…

And that’s really what makes the difference — the simple stuff.
