I’m busy / struggling to fit it in

“I’m busy / struggling to fit it in.

I can only fit my 2 sessions in if I do 2 sessions in a row but I shouldn’t exercise 2 days in a row should I?”

Question I had the other day.

Here’s an exercise to give you some context:

Let’s say we clone you..

  1. You exercise every Monday for the year and so 52 sessions in a year (still a lot better than no sessions, right?)
  2. Your clone does exercise 2 days in a row, one on a Monday and one on a Tuesday. So they do 104 sessions in a year.

Who’s going to get better results over the year ?

The person who does 2 sessions a week (even if it’s in a row)

And this is the point..

You have to make it fit your lifestyle. 

After all, what’s the alternative?

You put it off for longer?

Things get worse..

You start with great intentions but don’t follow through. 

You get more frustrated ..

Less fit

And things will always be harder “tomorrow”

So focus on what you can do
