“Daddy, Daddy”
^^ these same words can – if I am honest – bring me the most joy in the world but another day bring me feeling of stress.
I am just being honest here.
Thing is, if I get up late, miss my power hour (where I get things done before the world (and my kids) wake up?
I am on the back foot.
Worse to be around
Feel behind
Overwhelmed.
Just this start to the day can make me feel like I am failing.
Then throw in the guilt of ‘I should be a better Dad”…
Now I can believe that thought or I can choose to control what I can.
And it reminded me of this question I got here:
“How do you keep focused when the day
has not started off well? Eg, planned to do
exercise 1st thing, overslept and now no time to do exercise due to other commitments. I need to have a strategy to learn how to cope with this and how to not sabotage the day as in my negative mind
‘I’ve failed already’..”
This is a great question
And I explained in a Q and A and summarised this https://fb.watch/chlWafKoG7/
Thing is, if you believe
“I have failed already”
What happens?
Do you just think ‘sod it, I may as well fail?”
Interesting part?
If you miss one workout in the morning does that mean you won’t lose the weight?
Does that mean you won’t tone up?
I mean, it is a bit like saying if you do one workout you will lose all of the weight and tone up..
It is what you do on average that counts.
(And the same goes for my parenting guilt…)
