I don’t have time to exercise… :(

“I don’t have time to exercise around the Christmas period so I’ll start in January”

I got this message at the weekend so thought I’d cover this by showing you strategies that could help.

Here’s a video I did  at the weekend when we were at a nutrition conference in Nottingham

You see, it doesn’t have to be this “all or nothing” thing

Where you ever have time to exercise and eat well

Or

Do nothing.

In fact, that’s probably the exact thing stopping you getting the results you want.

Rather than focussing on what you can do.

Like Jill has done ✅

You see, most people who I speak to want to lose some weight.

Thing is though,

52% of weight gain occurs in 12% of the year (festive period)

Sure, the meals, snacks etc

I get it.

But given that weight loss is down to the principle of calories in, calories out….

Why not focus on what you can do?

Even if you can’t find the time to do as much exercise as you’d like.

After all, exercise is the cherry on top. The multiplier.

A lot of its benefits happen independent of weight loss..

✅ Bone health

✅ better regulation of blood sugar levels

✅ lower blood pressure

✅ improved mental health (NICE guidelines are now changing so that CBT and exercise are the initial response rather than antidepressants)

✅ less likely to fall and better quality of life

✅ More tone and shape

So given this..

What if you just started putting habits in place ?

To make January a whole lot easier…

Whether that means not gaining as much weight …

or even asking the simple questions of:

Why am I eating this ?

Is it to please others?

Am I full up?

Which choice will make me feel satisfied?

Just get curious…

You don’t even have to worry about whether this results in weight loss or not..

But actually just that by getting curious with these questions

You’ll understand your habits.

And that’s the first step so many of us miss (especially in January).

Which is why we are doing our 21 Day Christmas Fit challenge

Specifically for women 40+ and 50+ who pretty much know what to do already

But want the accountability and plan to do it !

This closes tomorrow .

Message me with “Christmas” for more info
