Does the “good” cause the “bad”?

Does the “good” cause the “bad”?

We’ve all been there…

Enough is enough

Today is the day I’ll start again..

I’m going to exercise every day

Give up bread

No more carbs

No more drinking..

The intentions are great…

But the problem?

We set ourselves up to fail.

And just like we be “very very good” for a few days or weeks…

This “good” can often cause the “bad”.

F it. I’ve eaten bread, may as well start again next week.

Sod it, I’ve had a drink so may as well start Monday

This nursery rhymes comes to mind:

“There was a little girl, who had a little curl

Right in the middle of her forehead,

And when she was good, she was very, very good,

But when she was bad she was horrid.”

But here’s the thing…

This doesn’t mean that you are doing it wrong if you ever “mess up”

Or something doesn’t go to plan.

More on this tomorrow 😃
