5 (not so) secret dieting hacks to shift your weight for good

My new book, 'Shift', addresses why so many of us have a hard time losing weight and keeping it off. From your mindset to the fact you're left to do it alone by the commercial gyms, feeling stuck on slimming clubs diets promoting yoyo weight loss and gain, and not to mention the 'experts' telling you to 'ditch the carbs' one week and 'ditch the fat' the next...

From working with tons of ladies, I get that it's frustrating hearing all these conflicting diets from the Daily Mail and your friends...so you just think "well, I tried to eat healthy but now they say it's unhealthy so F it"

But for today, I just want to share with you THE 5 (not so) secret "dieting" habits used by people who've lost more than 30 pounds and kept it off for more than a year...(this is based on a huge study...):

1. They track their food intake using a method that they can STICK TO - be it by following a step by step plan, counting calories, eye balling portions sizes, or  using portion size guides (something I use with many members in my Tone Up System, who describe themselves as "technophobes")

If you're not assessing, you're guessing, right?

2. Their food intake is pretty consistent from day to day - i guess this means you have to make fewer decision so don't drain your willpower so much and fall into the trap of being tired and stressed and turning to comfort food / eating your emotions.

3.They're physically active - They aim for at least 10,000 steps per day...

4. They measure their progress regularly, be it by weight, measurements, how their clothes fit OR strength and fitness , such as step counts or how long they can do a plank for...or do the Santa Fun Run (as some members inside my Tone Up System are building up to)

5. They limit their television viewing to less than 10 hours per week.

But you know what? These are all great. But you knew them already, right? I mean you could be given the best diet in the world. The best tip from your friend on Facebook who's lost weight and kept it off...

But unless you're in the right place, you have the support, the hacks, and have the right mindset tools to DO these?

You're probably going to set yourself up to fail.

And notice how none of these not so secret habits included "eating organic", "raw", "low carb", "vegan" I could go on..

Because it doesn't have to be so complicated that it overwhelms you.
