“I just need to get motivated:
“I don’t know why, I just can’t get motivated”
“I know what I need to do, I just need motivation”
Ever said that before?
I get it.
So I want you try this ONE thing:
Next time you catch yourself saying this?
Ask this question:
“What do I mean by motivation?”
Sounds odd, but sometimes we just use the word as a scapegoat.
We say we don’t have it and justify not doing [insert thing that we know we need to do which will make us feel better]
Now consider what motivation could mean:
A reason or reasons for acting or behaving in a particular way..
So now, next time you say “I just need some more motivation”
I want you to replace this with:
“I just need a reason or reasons for acting or behaving in the way I want to [whether that is doing a workout / eating better etc].”
Because then it comes down to why you even want to do it…
Whether that is so you can say ‘yes’ to more things rather than making up excuses as to why you cannot do them..
Being able to walk further without feeling out of breath..
Fitting into the clothes you want to wear this summer…
Feeling confident on holiday.
Improving your mobility
I could go on.
Give this a try today and let me know how you get on
