I could go on..
My responses to my kids?
“How do you know if you haven’t tried it?”
“You liked it yesterday, how do you know you don’t like it today?”
But you know the interesting part?
We still do this as adults..
“I can’t fit in Jiu Jitsu”
^^ something I said the day before PUTTING IT IN MY DIARY IN ADVANCE
“I can’t exercise because of my [insert injury]”
“I won’t be able to stick to because [insert label we attach to ourselves despite evidence clear saying the contrary]”
^^ like when someone says they are ‘lazy’ and have no willpower yet work every day and run around after 3 kids…
I could go on.
These are all legitimate reasons.
They are reasons which WILL probably make things more difficult than the ‘perfect’ situation
(whatever the perfect situation is)
But the question is:
How will you ever know if this is 100% true?
By DOING it.
This is how you will find out what you CAN do.
When you know what you CAN do
This builds confidence.
When you have confidence?
You want to do it MORE.
