I feel like time is flying right now.
Especially when I see people in the High Street who cannot believe how bit my kids have got..
It makes me pause and think ‘wow, yes time is flying’
I mean, I couldn’t wait for her to walk when she was crawling.
then she’s walking, and I could not wait for her to be properly talking..
Now, I am almost like..”I can wait, I am enjoying this”
Even in times where I ‘feel like’ we are rushing from one thing to another,
Quickly eating dinner on the go…
But it’s a nice reminder of just how easy it is to fall into the trap of thinking and saying things like:
“I can’t wait until…”
“It’ll be better when…”
Forgetting what’s happening right now…
And this brings me on to the topic of OVERWHELM…
Something that is often holding you back.
Simply because there is SOOO much information out there. I mean, how do you know who to believe? What’s best?
When is the best time to eat?
Can I eat after 6pm?
Can I exercise if I have a knee / hip issue? Will it be adapted for me?
Can I fit it in around my family? Around work?
Will I lose weight?
What if I fail?
And I’m not immune to this either.
But it’s no wonder that the hardest part of everything is getting started, right?
Because the future seems scary, right?
So, here’s a quick tip:
It is easy to think about what you DON’T want to happen.
Your brain is actually wired to do this. It’s how we’re all still here today.
But when you focus on what you DON’T want, it’s usually what you end up getting…
Because you talk yourself out of it with your imaginative brain which creates a scary future.
How do I know?
Well, I do it, too.
It’s why something we do in our Kickstart is give you the tools to separate the FACTS from FEELINGS…
So you can easily know what is working and what isn’t, so you can do more of the things that work, and know exactly where you need to improve.

They are like the 3 pillars of health and fitness.
But you know what is even more important?
The reminder that you can just say ‘no’ today.
You do not have to prioritise your health..
You do not have to exercise today…
You do not have to plan your meals..
You do not have to fit in all of the workouts someone else is doing..
It is YOUR choice..
And when you remember why you are wanting to making these choice?
And that you GET to do these things…
You can start to think differently.
You see, if you get your food right, you might feel better. Have more energy, maybe do more? Improve your fitness.
Alternatively, if you start improving your fitness, you might benefit from the ‘feel good’ endorphins from exercise. Maybe you no longer look for food for a ‘feel good’ pick me up?
It’s the Focus side of things that get you back on track with your Food and Fitness so you can fit back into your favourite clothes and just feel more confident.
It’s really not complicated. Now, this doesn’t mean it’s easy.
But what I am saying is that if you just focus on what REALLY matters, you might find this weight loss and toning up stuff a bit more simple…
And overcome this OVERWHELM which leaves us doing nothing.
Of course, I cannot say that what we do in our Kickstart will work for you.
