84% of us will carry on doing exactly the same things
…even after setting a New Year’s resolution.
And in my experience, it usually comes down to this:
Trying to do too much, too soon.
Then quitting because it feels like you’ve failed.
It’s why most people give up by the end of January.
You try to achieve your entire goal in one month…
Forgetting you’ve got the whole year.
I was chatting to someone recently about weight loss.
I asked how they’d feel if they lost 2 stone in a year.
“Pretty happy,” was the answer.
Then I asked how they’d feel losing ½ lb this week.
“That would demotivate me. It’s too slow.”
And I get it.
But here’s what often happens instead:
You set expectations too high…
You’re starving by 4pm…
Snacking starts…
Then comes the “f it — I’ll start again tomorrow and go even harder.”
So you skip breakfast.
Repeat the cycle.
Restrict. Binge. Reset. Repeat.
But what if, after a wobble, you just gave yourself permission to go back to eating normally the next day?
No punishment.
No extremes.
Just consistency.
Here’s the real takeaway:
- Set a goal that genuinely excites you
- Remember — you don’t have to achieve it this week
- Obstacles are on the way, not in the way
- Write down why this matters (what actually changes?)
- Set mini benchmarks instead of perfection
- Choose one thing TODAY you can definitely stick to
No matter how small.
- A 10-minute workout
- A 1-minute workout
- A walk
- Water with every meal
- Bed by 10pm
Small actions create momentum.Momentum changes how you think.
And that’s how real transformation happens.
This is exactly what we help you do inside the
January 28 Day Kickstart
Not “all or nothing.”
Just a clear plan, accountability, and consistency to do the things you probably know you need to do..
